ABOUT THIS POSITION
Supports and assists the design team during the design and building process of a project. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation, organizing, illustrating and populating schedules. The Junior Designer must be absorbent to the taste and style directions given from Principal Designer on behalf of Louise Dover Interiors and the client.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in all phases of design projects assigned, including but not limited to space planning, furniture layouts, development of CAD drawings, renderings, product specification, budgeting, presentations to the client, and job site supervision.
Maintain and manage finish and fixture schedules that clearly communicate design selections and details, ensuring accurate execution by contractors and subcontractors.
Generate and maintain client materials for projects, including all correspondence, drawings, etc.
SYSTEM PROFICIENCY
AutoCAD/Procreate/SketchUp/Excel
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) with clients and all internal colleagues.
Dependable, responsive, thorough and detailed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with preferably a major in interior design, interior architecture or a related field; or an Associate Degree
OR Minimum of two years of work experience in lieu of a four-year degree.
Minimum of two years sales and/or interior design experience required.
SKILLS
Portfolio should reflect experience in all phases of a project, including design development, conceptual vision, and construction documentation.
Strong knowledge of high-end residential products and specifications.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Procreate, and Excel.
This position is located at our studio in Knoxville, TN.
